I want to add the Laser to my regular (MS12502)saw. The Guard part numbers are different, but the clearance appears to be there. The arbors are the same size. I just can't see why this won't work. RIDGID says no, but it really looks like it will fit. The Laser replaces the outer washer and has a countersuck allen head bolt so the thickness is the same as the blade-washer-bolt. Any thoughts or input would be appreciated.

I looked into the "universal" Lasers and they all only fit the small arbor saws.

My personal opinion is it just isn't worth it. For rough work they are okay but for cabinet work I use my tape measure. I have the 12" Hitachi and it has one but I don't use it.

I appreciate your opinion, but I just needed to know if the RIGID laser would fit. I use the tape also, but the laser would be nice for production cuts (Laminate Floor)
