  • R8606 chuck question

Just bought the drill. The chuck will only stay tight for a dozen or so holes - then the bit falls out, whether large or small. I'm 6' 3" and weigh 235, so I know I have torqued it down tight enough (many times). My little B&D 14.4 volt has no problem at all. What a pain.

I have the same drill and have never had a problem. Sounds like a defect. Take it back and get a new one.

I noticed that my drill does the same thing, and I figured out that its the electric brake that makes the drill stop so quick that it loosens the chuck. I just ease out of the trigger to stop this, and that fixed the problem.
