Harbor freight has them now too as well as E-bay
I have a Sears unit and it has its pluses and minuses. I bought it over 5 years ago!

I wonder why this guy claims to be the inventor of the dual saw ? I believe the original twin cutters
was made by black hawk power tool for firefighters. There are a lot
of other named units out there such as Sears, Harbor freight, E-bay etc. Another is the Twinner 1445

It can really cut just about anything and with minimal kickback or sparks
It does have a wide kerf in the cut, buy hey, it uses two blades.

The tool does need to have the special lubricating sticks when cutting metals
The blades will tolerate a lot of use. Sears and Harbor freight are sources for replacements
          Now for the bad stuff.......

If you are left handed the tool is dangerous! It is only truly safely operated by a right handed user.
          The tool is quite loud.
The fence system is just awful, it sticks and can be rated as unsafe!
The tool is not balanced very well the motor assembly reminds me of a 4 1/2" hand grinder
or maybe a bit larger. The on/off switch is awkward. When you make initial contact with the material you
want to cut there will be a sudden jerk, but you will cut straight.
Watching the cut area is obstructed and makes it awkward for you to follow your cut line.

The feeding system for the lubricating sticks does not work smoothly

This is an overview of the Sears 6" or 6 1/8" version I have not used it in a long while.model 286.26829

I will admit the concept is indeed very clever and for the times I did use it it was quite handy.

Perhaps the next generation design will be safer and better

            i don't have 1

i have 2 sears craftsman models.

            here are the issues.

the counter rotating blades are a very tight tolerance to make them still clear each other. unfortunately, it is not precision enough and i've returned 2 of the right out of the box, factory assembled.

looks good on t.v. but in reality, it doesn't work like that.

save your money and buy a real saw.

Did you call the 800 number and price one out? When you call make sure you're sitting down as the price of the saw and replacement blades will knock you right off your feet if you're not.

Thanks. But if you disliked one, why did you buy another?

I asked the same question! As our friend Steve always says, Rick is good for the economy.
