I've got a DeWalt 9.6V drill/driver that has served me well for about 10 years now. Its been a real little work horse and I really like its weight and balance. The other day I was repairing some deck boards and the chuck quit spinning under load. The chuck spins just fine when it's not under any load. There is a clicking sound so I'm guessing that the gears are probably shot. Anyone know off the top of their head whether or not something like this is worth getting fixed? With labor costs being what they are I'm thinking not but if anyone has any experience with this type of thing I'd appreciate hearing their opinion/experience.
