Actually, I believe there's been several new models and also new tools to the lineup in this last year. I can't name them all, but the one-handed recip saw, the big, granite top 4511 are probably tops on the list in this past year. Also, I recall that there's a new trim router, which hasn't made it to a lot of the stores yet.
Check through the tool line-up and you'll surely see a few new things.
Well, I can't afford to attend the roundups although they sound like fun, but myself and others have given plenty of good new tool suggestions right here on this site! There have been numerous requests for tools that would match the ones already offered by other manufacturers, but they would have the Ridgid name on them and fit our existing batteries. I have gotten great service from my five piece 18volt nicad kit, just wish Ridgid had kept matching tool for tool with the likes of DeWalt, Milwaukee, Bosch and even Ryobi. I admit innovative tools such as the one hand reciprocating saw are welcome additions to any cordless tool line, it's just that pro's, homeowners and DIY'ers will continue to want and buy established, proven, and useful tools and if Ridgid does not offer them, they are losing customers and repeat business. I've made my case before so I apologize for the repeat.
