    What do you mean by a lot? Power is measured in Watts, not amps. So You could have 6.5 watts at 12V and you would get 78W. If you have it at 240V, you get 1560W.

    A standard household circuit is 15A, and new kitchen receptacles should be on a 20A circuit.

    A table saw or router is probably about 12-15A.

    I noticed this was in the power tool section. What tool are you thinking of?

        In most cases that will be plenty until you get into the SDS applications
