  • MS165LZA Miter Saw stops off center

    Dear tool gurus,

I have a brand new Ridgid MS1065LZA Miter Saw. The positive stops for the miter are off by 1/2 a degree. Not sure how to remedy this - aren't those things machined into the base the saw?

I set the table to the -45°, 0°, and 45° positive stops, and the scale reads -45.5°. -0.5°, and 44.5°. The scale is correct - if you make manually set the table to 0° (which is a pain since the table wants to "fall into" the positive stops), the cut is square and true.

Looking at the manual, it wan't obvious how to easily adjust this. Maybe I'm reading too hard. Or not hard enough.

Any suggestions? Other than that, the saw has been great!

    Thanks - Bob

In your Owner Manual there is a section on "Squaring The Saw Blade To The Fence". Have you done this yet?
