  • Rigid Sander R2500 Question

I have this model of sander and a couple of years ago I used it to refinish my coffee table. As I was completing the job, I noticed that it started to put little swirl marks into my wood. The pad on the bottom looks pretty normal (in comparing it with one on display at Home Depot). I can not identify where on the pad that it would have been causing this issue. I would like to sand down another piece of wood, but am aprehensive to use it. I don't want to ruin the wood with these swirly marks. Not sure if I can attach a photo to show someone (I did take one), but does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this issue?
