  • What is needed for dust collection on TP 1300 planer

I have a 13 inch, planer model TP1300. I am confused as to what I need to order for dust collection by my shop vac. My planer has the slot on the back that the chip fly out of. What part do I need to attach to it to hook up my shop vac?

    here is the manual:

see page 10, figure 4. sounds like you are missing the dust chute. see page 13, figure 10. good luck.
there's a solution to every problem.....you just have to be willing to find it.

With the dust chute, your ridgid shop vac will connect right to it. I would recommend a 4" dust collector instead. The planer will produce a lot of shavings.

I run mine through a cyclone type Dust Deputy and all the dust/shavings go into that unit instead of filling up my vac.
