  • MS1250 Rigid 12" Compound Miter Saw

I have the above named saw. I understand that it is NOT suitable for adding a laser to it. If that has changed, please advise.

I am interested in adding an "extension table" and fence to this saw. I see two large holes under the (approximate) 5" extension table that came with the saw. Is there an attachment of some sort, perhaps with tubes (pipes) that can be added?

I want to be able to place a stop anywhere from 2" to 36" from the blade for quick repetitive and accurate cuts.

    Suggestions, please..........

You may e-mail me privately if you choose to. Please use Compound Miter Saw as the subject if you e-mail me.

    Thanks

I can not help you with your issue but am wondering if you can tell me what I have to do to change the blade?

There are a number of ways to fabricate extension tables for a miter saw.
Norman Abrams from the Yankee workshop did a project.
Wood Workers source did a project.
U-Tube has a number of videos showing various extension tables.

Personally I have a cart where the wings [extensions] fold up and down.

your specific design will be delineated by the space you have for your miter saw and
if you want a permanent or portable system.
