  • Reconditiond Drills

I see Home Depot is selling reconditioned 86006 18V drills. I wonder how they got so many to recondition?? A bunch of returns or factory mistakes.

    Re: Reconditiond Drills

There are many reasons why they have so many. One reason is that with the very liberal 90 day no questions asked return policy many are purchased, used for a single project and then returned. Not a very honest practice by the original buyer but it happens. Another reason is that some are actual defective product that have been returned, had the problem fixed but are not able to be sold as new. Regardless of the reason, if the product has been factory reconditioned it is as good as new. Sometimes with HD though you have to be careful as some stores have been reported as marking product as reconditioned when it hasn't been and is actually just returned for credit product.

Don't recall seeing this with other drills and tools.
