We use the Ridgid 24V hammer drill and sawzall and they have performed very well. Unfortunately I don't believe Ridgid manufactures the 24V stuff any more. You could find it on eBay but you wouldn't get the LSA.
I see you are a plumber. I like the higher power for recip saws and hammer drills and would probably opt for the 28V Milwaukee........Ray
I own the V28 drill and sawzall and have found them to be noticeably more powerful than my old 18 volt tools. If you have to do some extended sawing or drill through very hard concrete, you're still going to want to have corded tools. I've never tried the Milwaukee M18 so I can't compare to them. If you buy the V28 drill you'll want to have something else to use for a driver because it's too heavy and bulky to use every day for driving screws.
