  • r4510 cutting depth

My R4510 is supposed to cut 3 and 1/2 inches. Set at its max I am falling short of cutting a 4x4 by about 1/8 inches . any suggestions/

      That 3½" is nominal!

check the actual dimension of the material. some of the 4x4s i used constructing decks have been larger than 3.5"x3.5", which would account for your cuttting depth issue. HTH.

            Welcome to the Ridgid forum

For whatever reason, it looks like you will have to rotate the 4 x 4 in order to cut the piece all the way through. Both my Ryobi BTS21 and BT3100 saws cut exactly 3-1/2 inches deep, but I prefer not to push that much thickness through them, as that's a lot to "bite-off" with a universal motor. Also, you will run into an occasional piece of stock that is thicker than normal.
