    i have a ridgid r84001 3/8 hammer cordless drill.i have had it for 5 years without any trouble.the batteries are original but the other day i went to charge the batteries and the battery charger will not charge.the red light blinks.is possible for both batteries to go bad at the same time,or the charger be bad.thanks

    it might be the charger so you may have to return the charger also

        I remember that there have been some posts about a problem with the triggers that would destroy batteries on the older drill/drivers. Yours could be one of those.
