Anyone know of a supplier for a 3/8" collet insert for this 2hp router? Comes with 1/2" collet and 1/4" insert but no solution for 3/8".

We use 3/8" dia. shank router bits all the time. The best solution we have found ( as far as price and ease of actually finding one) is to buy a bushing. We use Amana part # RB-122 http://www.amanatool.com/bits-fv/rb_100.html or MLCS #277 http://www.mlcswoodworking.com/shops..._bearings.html .
They work great, we've never had an issue.

In my looking, I saw this style adapter/bushing/reducer on the ereplacements website but wasn't sure if that style would work or not. I'm using the Ridgid model 2901 router. In the picture, the collet on the left is the Ridgid 1/2" with the 1/4" insert. The one on the right is from my Bosch and is what I think would be terms a more traditional collet & nut arrangement where the various collet sizes just snap into the cover nut. But the Ridgid 1/2" collet is held in place permanently with a retaining ring and the insert slides inside up to where the insert has a shoulder or lip. Are you using these reducing sleeves on a Ridgid router or on a more traditional collet & nut style router?

We don't have any Ridgid routers however, from your pictures, I don't see an issue. The bushings we use are similar to your Ridgid 1/4" bushing, except without a lip if you will. We have Elu, Dewalt, Porter Cable and Hitachi. The bushings from both suppliers that I mentioned work well in all of the brands mentioned. Good luck.
