No combo kit(s) yet, but my closest HD has seen the arrival of the X4 - today. Not on display yet ar the following (didn't write the numbers down) 1: box with drill + batt + charger. 2: box with impact driver + batt + charger. 3: Blisterpack with charger.

Seems they want $199 for the standalone tools.

I have a combo kit coming to me. I'm in Nb Canada and my hd guy presold me the combo kit. He says there are only 3 kits coming on Friday. I'm assuming it will be the same for others. The kit does come with 2 batteries and a bag which I didn't know. I'll let yas know when I get it.

Just unwrapped the kit. Very nice set with lots of easy to use options. Lights n every tool, two batteries with the life indicators on them. The skill saw has nice adjustments on it aswell as the recip saw. Can't wait to use them

Could you share how the batteries fare with the circular saw? Like when you rip through a sheet goods for instance?

I"m curious how these compare to the 24v.

I've always been limited to do a couple rips with mine (24v), batteries jump will jump to empty, then goes back up and has usable life left, but not for more than a few small cuts. That's why I use a corded one primarily to do all the ripping and use the cordless one just for small cuts.

Where the heck did you get your kit? Are stores actually getting these in stock now?

Has no one else recieved there kit yet? I've had a week of using all them on my house flip and I absolutely love them. Both batt still show a full charge. I won't be ripping plywood anytime soon and prob wouldn't use the small saw anyways. I have ripped a few doors though and it works great. Tons of power on every tool. Like the impact driver the best personally and it has a quick release for all the bits and such. Highly recommend this kit

I had an issue with another Ridgid battery and today a new X4 compact 18v battery was in my mailbox. So now I know it exist. Here is the question.

I alreay sent in my UPC and warranty info for my X3 kit, however I am still within my 90 days. Is there anyway to swap out my X3 kit for an X4 kit? I know I am dreaming, but thought I would ask.
I returned mine, I had them a week. When I first went in HD tried to say they have a 30 day return policy on power tools but because I didn't have the barcode on the box and the tools were used they couldn't take them back. So I went home and printed the RIDGID 90 day guarantee and went back this morning and drove home the fact I was there for a refund based on the RIDGID 90 day guarantee regardless of what their generic policy for the other tools may be. They tried to say I had to deal with the manufacture to upgrade or get a refund etc but the guarantee says I am entitled to a refund or exchange from the dealer I purchased them from. (I took the refund as not to complicate the process) lol they really got ticked when they asked me, "Alright Sir, what's wrong with the tools then" and I replied, the tools work great, love them but as the guarantee says, return if not satisfied for any reason and my reason is why should I pay the same price for version 3 when you have version 4 sitting on the shelf today. So they gave me a refund and I purchased the other set. You know, what ticked me more then anything is the sales associate at HD said the tools were being fased out and the price was lower then normal on the x3's and the new line won't be out till the end of summer. If I had know the new set was on it's way and the same price, I would have waited.

The x4's are awesome by the way. Ridgid did an awesome job with the new features. The only changes I noticed so far which I'm not sure how I feel about yet is the hammer drill chuck is the same diameter right to the end, the x3 had a tapered chuck. Also the ligh doesn't swivel up vertical like the x3 did.

Here are some pics of the new X4. Please note some of the pics has a compact drill/driver with the x3 version battery which isn't included with the x4 kit. I included those pics so you can see the compact size of the new hammer drill as well as the interchangeability of the batteries back and forth etc.

Out of curiosity, does the flashlight say 18/24v on it like the x3 light does?

It just says 18v. I don't own any 24v tools so I never noticed it or looked for it on the x3's

the x3 flashlight was 24v compatible amazingly, I want to find one to complete my 24v set as it would give me all the 24v tools. I like my x3 hammer drill, but I still prefer the 24v drills by far.

I wonder how the rubber on the grip area is going to hold up this time around? They look pretty fancy tho. I hope the circular saw can cut better than the X3 one did. (maybe it was the batteries fault?) How well does the light work in both modes?

My Home Depot wont be getting the X4 till mid July
