  • R4510 Blade height lock problem

the blade height lock on my R4510 is not engaging at all. I can tighten it all the way down and the wheel still spins freely, raising and lowering the blade. Has anyone had issues with this/know of what might be causing it? Thanks.

Mine works fine. You need to contact Ridgid to have them either offer up suggestions as to how to fix it, or else tell you where to take it for a fix. If the tool is not too old you can return it to Home Depot for an exchange.

If the tool is fairly old and a repair facility is too far off, you might do an internet search for a parts list. The exploded illustrations might give you a clue as to what item might be malfunctioning. The fix might be easy, and parts are easy to order from Ridgid. If you signed up for the company's lifetime warranty, there is a chance that it can be fixed for nothing.
