Big lots! I am sure you can find some ultra chinese coleman knockoff that passes as junk at an auto parts house or something for $20 there..

        Re: Ridgid 18 Volt Impact

So here is my rub it in post on what some careful shopping, or being in the right place at the right time will do for you. My objective was either a R849/R859 hand held flashlight, or a compact LED light for FREE! This proves that my at least one of my methods will get you stuff cheap or free. This works anywhere, just not in California.

        I found this on Craigslist.

$150 for this kit, a R968. It came with what you see plus 4 batteries. 3(1.5ah) were dead, one was warranty-able, the fourth was a brand new 3.0AH Hyper LION battery.

Here is where the math comes in. If I sell off what I dont want, pretty much everything except for the batteries, charger and light. Prices are average prices on ebay for the last 2 weeks, and what I can expect to get for them when I sell them off to make what I am keeping free. My tools show use, they are not new so I would not expect big money.

No pricing available on ebay for the R968 kit, but the R9681 is $240-280 new cond, what I paid is an excellent price for the condition its in, plus a new $100 battery.

        18V Compact Driver R86030 $60-80 new, mine, $40-50
R86447 1 handed recep. saw, 50-75 new looking, mine maybe $40
        18V drill R86007 $25(used) $50 new, $25 for mine
24V max select saw $35-50 used

Lowballing everything, I can piece it out and put $140 or so in my pocket. I get a $100 battery, $69 battery (in two months when it shows up from Ridgid), $15 charger and a $20 light.

        -$150 purchase price
+$140 recouped from selling what I dont wan't
Net cost $10 for $220 worth of stuff.

Not bad for a 1 hour trip out of my way.
