  • Rigid Pressure Washer 3000 psi.

This pressure washer has maybe 6 hours on it. Since use one, it starts fine, the pressure is great... for about twenty minutes. The unit shuts off on its own, just dies, and I cant start it for about 10 minutes. I have to let it cool down. And when you do go to check the unit, it is steaming hot everywhere! Any suggestions?

    doctordeere will have your answer.

do you let the machine run for a period of time without pulling the trigger? bypass mode will cause the water temperature to rise as it recirculates from the unloader through the pump.

      Clarify please...
Will it crank over normally but just not fire, or will it not crank over?
How old is the unit (not operating hours, but actual age)?
Does it have the blue CAT pump or the silver AR Axial pump?

If it shuts off on its own while your using it (i.e. pulling the trigger on the wand and cleaning something) then you might have a bad ignition coil. They tend to do that when there bad. Now if your just letting the pw run without pulling the trigger well then the pump may have gotten a little to hot.
