  • TP1300 planer--rollers won't feed stock

Hi guys. I own a Ridgid TP1300 planer. It works great except that the rollers don't grab the stock enough to pull it through without assistance from me. The manual doesn't show any way to adjust the rollers. Any ideas?

How light is the cut your taking? Can you feel the rollers "grab" and then stall, or do the rollers not provide enough pull iniatially?

Clean and wax your planer bed and infeed/outfeed tables. Then, take some mineral spirits and really clean the rollers. Now ensure that your blades are clean and sharp. That should solve your roller pulling problems.

D'oh! Busted for being lazy and dirty. Flipped the blades, cleaned the rollers, waxed the tables and it ran like new. Man, this is a great planer--no snipe, no tearout. Thanks a lot guys!
