  • New wanna be to the Ridgid scene with a question.

I am interested in buying an 18 volt set. My question is if I buy a new set thru ebay can I get the lifetime warranty? Some that I have looked at are from various sellers(pawn shops, resellers, etc.

No, you have to buy the set new from Home Depot in order to register them for the LSA.

If this is the last set you want to buy, and do not wish to repurchase $240 worth of batteries in 2 years when they go bad(and they will) then I strongly recommend you buy the kit new. Otherwise the only warranty you have is the remainder of the 3 year warranty. FYI without a HD reciept, that warranty started when the tool was manufactured. Most X4 kits on eBay and in pawn shops are 6-12 months old already. If you buy before the end of the month, you can get a free battery too.
