  • Weird Drill Bit Sizes

I need a diamond-core drill bit in the size 15/64". Dewalt and Hitachi make some drill bits smaller than an inch, and they work very well, but neither of them make this specific size. I've scoured the internet and can't find one anywhere. Is it possible to have something like this custom-made?

Can you use a 7/32 bit and wallow out the hole? What's this for?

why such precision? why a core bit?

one could just take a 1/4" bit and touch the edges of the carbide and narrow it a tad,

it may take just a few holes to wear down to the correct size you want, or touch the edge of the core bit on some thing and wear it some,

      just a possibility http://www.amazon.com/Diamond-Lapida..._sim_sbs_hi_38

I'm just curious - what is the project you're working on?

I'm making a pair or grips for a handgun, and I want to make it out of marble or granite. These grips have to come in a certain size, because the guns are all made the same way, and if they are 15/64" exactly, it's just not going to work

find some one who does stained glass, they may have a diamond bit on there glass grinder that would "ream" a smaller hole to the correct size, I see they had 1/8" bits for most stain grinders,

or a diamond Burr on a dermal tool,
