  • Craftsman Jointer/Planer

My son recently brought home an old Craftsman 4 1/8" jointer/planer, mod 149.236221. The knives are in terrible shape. As usual, many parts, including knives, are no longer available from Sears. Does anyone know of any acceptable substitutes?

    4 1/8" jointer knives - Google Search

and any wood working supply store should be able to get the knives, there is a number on Ebay saying they have them,

you may be able to find them there,

You'll need to measure the existing knives to make sure they'll fit but Holbren might have a set that will fit.

If it is just a generic flat blade and no slots it will be easy to find a replacement, if the blade is the one with the slots, It most likely will be harder, to locate a will fit, I see sears had blades but do not know if they will fit your unit, or if they only fit the current unit,
