Send your old batteries out to be rebuilt. Here is one company that does that, Primecell.

      Re: Ridgid powertools

What Ridgid Tool model numbers do you have?

Old 18v nicad batteries should fit..then you move up to
first, second, and X4 generation lithium ion batteries.
My 18V tools range from early 2005 to late 2012 and ALL
18V batteries fit all my tools! I now use the X4 generation battery.

You may want to go to a Home Depot with your drill and see if the Ridgid
18V battery on their shelf fits!

Is it possible you have Ryobi tools?
Again please specify the model numbers of your tools

I have a ridgid drill from 03 that the new batteries fit without issue. What model number are the tools?
