  • Power Tool Dimensions

I was looking around the web site and was wondering Why don't any of the tools have their dimensions posted in the spec sheets? This would be handy to have if you are trying to find cases for your tools.
    Thanks

I know what you mean, maybe if several of us ***** about the lack of dimensions we might see some change.

      Perhaps,

But if you need a case for your particular tool, then can it be presumed that you actually have that tool and thus might also own a tape measure?

Question of course would be whether it is easier to log on and look up the dimension or to just measure it.

But really, as a guy who spent a career communicating product information to technicians and consumers, providing specifications including dimensions and weight is very basic.

        Re: Power Tool Dimensions

I could see where you might not have the tool yet but are needing to know its dimensions or weight. These are things I need to know when planning work sometimes. How much storage space is needed to carry all the tools that will be used and how much will that tool box weigh with all the tools in it for shipping and for rigging purposes.
"When we build let us think we build forever. Let it not be for present delight nor for present use alone. Let it be such work that our descendants will thank us for, and let us think, as we lay stone upon stone, that a time is to come when these stones will be held sacred because our hands have touched them, and that men will say, as they look upon the labor and wrought substance of them, "See! This our fathers did for us."
        John Ruskin (1819 - 1900)

            Re: Power Tool Dimensions

I'm so glad we've got something new to gripe about.

I was bored with the old stuff.

I propose we also gripe that the tool inspectors name isn't included in the kit.
