  • HELP! Problem with my beloved R83001

I was on a job today and everything was going smoothly. Went to change the bit on my drill and the chuck was completely stuck. Couldn't turn it at all. I have tried and tried all day and it won't budge.

Has anyone encountered this problem? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The drill is relatively new (purchased August of this year) and was the first in a now complete line-up of Ridgid tools. I was heart broken today.

It's less than 90 days old. Take it back to HD and get a new one.

Lorax is correct. If you have your original receipt and it's within 90 days the Depot should give a refund. They will not take it back if it's missing pcs. or misuse/abuse, otherwise shouln't be an issue.

Just got my new ridgid drill. Didn't think Home Depot would take a return on a case like this.

        Thanks for the advice.
