  • change 3/8 to 1/2 chuck

Is there any products that allow you to adapt or change a 3/8 chuck to a 1/2 chuck. Or is there a adapter to change 1/4 hex impact drill to a 1/2 drill.

Jacobs, the company that made the 3/8" chuck on your drill makes a replacement. Google 'Jacobs Chuck' for their website.

Dont know about the hex issue, but they may.

Just remember that the drill was designed to use up to 3/8 bits, don't blame the tool if it wears out fast when using large bits.

home depot sell a makita 1/4'' hex chuck that gives you a 3/8 chuck. sells for approx. $30.
i bought a jacobs with chuck key for approx. $14.00

i even bought a 1/2'' drive impact chuck to run on my corded impact driver. this is great for large selfeed bits. it doesn't kick your butt this way.
