  • Welder/Generator

It is time to seriously compare personal, portable Welder/Generators. Have looked at Lincoln and Hobart and both are assmebled here. Am currently leaning towards the Hobart Champion model as it seems more compact and has an extra 220V outlet vs. the Lincoln. Have never seen a Miller in action.

    Any input would be appreciated.

I have the Lincoln ProCore 110 volt wirefeed welder, and it is one of the best I have ever used. Most big shops use either Lincoln or Miller.

      RS,

Thanks, I am actually looking to use an arc welder and want a generator to provide the power needed when no cordless will ever do. Perhaps the term "personal" was not what I should have used. Just don't want a unit weighing much over 250 lbs so I can handle the thing myself as there is no loading dock at my home.
