  • Air Tool And Compressor Fittings

Does anyone know if there is any advantage to using brass fittings over steel fitting or vice versa? There doesn't seem to be a huge price difference between the two so I was wondering why they offer the same fittings made out of two different materials.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the "John" and renamed it the "Jim". I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

I use brass fittings, I am a bit paranoid about the water that the compressor sends through the hose (although it is minimal). Also I don't have to worry about the threads or main body of the fitting rusting if I get caught out in the elements. Lastly, my hoses are all brass threaded and I think that brass-to-brass threading seals best (since it is softer).
