  • Best Fence Upgrade for TS2412

    I have a Ridgid TS2412 that I'd rather upgrade than sell, what's the best fence upgrade? I want to add a router insert to the table as well, so if there's a kit that includes both that would be great

    How much do you have budgeted? Top of the line for both could be in the $1000 neighborhood.
    Diapers and Politicians need to be changed often... Usually for the same reason.

      I was hoping to spend $500 - $750, however, I don't want to skimp and be sorry. If $1000 is what it takes, I can do that. Merry Christmas to me

        I might add that I?m a hobbiest, not a professional. I?m looking for ease of use, good precision, and I?d like to rip more than 24?. My shop is small, hence the desire to incorporate the router table into the table saw

          Here are a few suggestions for your consideration;

          https://www.amazon.com/Bench-Dog-Too...n+router+table

          https://www.amazon.com/Vega-U50-Tabl...nd+rail+system

          https://www.amazon.com/Delta-Equipme...nd+rail+system

          https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00012XE28...544028048&sr=1

          Have you considered possibly just replacing the saw with a new one? There are some pretty nice hybrid saws out there for close to the money you are willing to invest into you TS2412. Here is one possibility, http://www.grizzly.com/products/Griz...d-Fence/G0771Z .

              Except you'd still need to add the router table.

              When I had my 3650 I bought a router table insert from MuleCab ( http://www.mulecab.com/ ), but I tried to go to their site just now and no dice. Maybe they are gone or maybe it is just a internet glitch, but couldn't reach their site. If you search on Google for MuleCab router table you'll find a bunch of hits. They also sell a nice inexpensive T-square style table saw fence system that won't break the bank. You could get both the router inset table and the fence for less than $500 I think, but as I said I was not able to check their site or current pricing this morning.

              There are a number of threads that discuss both these table saw add-ons here on the Forum. Search in both the Power Tools and Woodworking topic areas and you should find a number of possibilities that may suit your budget and needs.

              Woodcraft has the Accusquare TS fence for sale right now for $249

              Kreg has their router table extension wing for $179 which can be bought from a number of sources.

              Usually a fence for a router table is not included so figure another $100 or so for that.
