Could it be that they did have a release date scheduled for those tools but they found out prior to that date that all the parts needed to build them had already been discontinued and were "no longer available".

          I. Was wishful thinking, but imagine what would happen if Ridgid made them? Ii know I would buy a couple, and so would thousands of folks who either own the Ridgid battery platform, or are buying it.

it could be that they're caught up in the COVID19 mess. ready to go with manufacturing but all the factories are closed down at the moment and for the foreseeable future.

We've been wanting to replace our 22 year old freezer, but you can't get one. Everyone has zero stock and won't even take an order because they have no idea how long before they will have anything to sell. Last I was told the factories were shut down the end of February and are still closed. Figure to add two months at least for shipping once they get back in production.

I would buy into there ( RIDGID ) lawn tools as long as they don't come out with a 14 3/8 "chainsaw or a string trimmer that runs on butane... I haven't had to mow or wack weeds for 3 weeks . all my grass is crispy brown due to the lack of rain.
