Ryobi 40 volt weed wacker

My 40 volt Ryobi will only work if I squeeze the trigger very lightly. If I squeeze it hard it runs for a few seconds then stops.

Try unplugging it and then plugging it back in.

It’s a battery 40 volt weedwacker, I have removed the battery and plugged it back in, same problem.

sounds like a bad trigger switch. look up the part and replace it.

Bad trigger switch. Ryobi has a 3 year warranty. Call them up or email. They will help you out.

i have a Ryobi 18V trimmer and if the head gets off balance with trimmer string of different lengths on each side it will vibrate alot and shut off after a few seconds of running. if i squeeze it lightly, it will run despite being unbalanced
