Rigid 18V Digital Inflator R87044

I have a Rigid 18V Digital Inflator R87044. My problem is it sometimes it doesn't work on Auto mode. I set the tire pressure I want and it will start, but then stops after a second or two. I know the tire hasn't reached the pressure I set. Has anyone else had this problem? It works on manual, but it's a pain because it doesn't give an accurate reading while pumping. Does anyone know a "fix" for this? Thanks for any advice/info. Regards, Danny

Buy a better quality brand. JK of course, but I hope this is an isolated incident and not
something that happens to all these inflators. I know that doesn't help you and your
situation though.

I bought two of them not long ago so the Wife could have one in each vehicle. I wanted
her to have something easy to operate, just dial in the pressure and go. Even if it's not
dead-on accurate it would be ballpark and get her somewhere with help. I keep a tire
gauge in each vehicle but she doesn't like using those.

So far ours have been fine, but I only used each of them once when I first bought them.
Tested on battery and using the DC power cord then packed them up in the car.

The one 'tool' that should come in a case and doesn't, I used a couple soft cases I had hung
on to from other RIDGID tools to bag them up so I could keep all the pieces together in the car.

I have 3 of them and one I use for roadside rescue. every flat tire I change, this little pump tops off the spare. i havent had any issues with it.

I've got 2 of them and neither have this issue. I'd get it replaced under warranty if I were you.

ive noticed on several occasions that if i leave a battery attached to it, the battery is dead the next day with no use. any one else notice this?

Not been a problem for me as I keep them for emergency in the car and no battery, use the DC power cord only.
