  • AC supply another quesition...

sorry for creating a new thread.

Can anyone suggest what would be maximum applicable AC voltage/current for the R7120 Drill machine. It is rated for 120 V/ 7.5 Amp.

Is there any fuse inside it for protection? If not, what rating is suggested for an external fuse ?

Hope these are not strange questions.
    Thanks.

What are you up to? I read your DC post first.
The FLA (full load amps) that this drill will draw is 7.5 amps.
As long as you feed it 120V it will only draw 7.5A no matter what the capacity of the circuit is.
You only run into problems if something shorts in the drill, then having a 100 amp breaker on the feed line will be a hazard. Look at the cord on the drill and match the breaker current to the cord.
    14/2 = 15A breaker max
    12/2 = 20A breaker max
