  • Happy Belated Birthday

On March 5th, my TS3612 celebrated its 3rd birthday in my shop. In those three years, I have yet to have a single problem with it. The assembly was easy, I had no problems with the Herc-U-Lift, and after some small fine tuning, which all saws require, it's performed like a champ. I check the alignment of the fence and blade about every six months or so and so far neither has required any major adjustment.

I feel that this saw is worth every cent I paid for it and probably more. I have yet to be disappointed with any RIDGID product I own and I own both plumbing hand tools and woodworking power tools.

Oh, and I also want to mention that after 3 years of use the plastic locking handle on the fence hasn't broken either!

Congratulations Dave! I hope to be as happy with my TS3650 in that time!

BTW, I have a 2-year old I can send your way to help break or knock anything out of alignment if you like!?!

    Still enjoying all 10 fingers!

Ditto on the Kudos to Ridgid here! My TS2424 is over 5 years old and runs like a champ. I also have a whole stable full of Ridgid tools. The only issue I ever ran into was the tension mechanism on the band saw. I ended up disassembling a good portion of the upper assembly to correct it, but there were no failed parts and it all went back together and has worked fine since.

I do have an issue with the RAS though...I never use it! I'm seriously thinking of selling it and claiming some floor space back.

Good deal Dave, My 2400 is about that age now and I have yet to have a problem. Only thing about it that was not up to expectations was the miter gauge, and we all know how factory gauges are. LOL just got my self a Kreg miter system and it is SWEET. OSC, be careful, ya might just get one of them RAS saws. Thought I wanted one and took forever to get rid of it. LOL

OSC, check out Craigs list. http://louisville.craigslist.org/ Look at the right side of the page and choose cities close to you. Lots of good deals there. That is how I sold mine to a guy in Tenn.

                  Hey OSC,

                  I'm in Albuquerque, NM...so it's a bit of a drive from Florida!

I'm still on the fence. I'm in the middle of re-organizing the whole shop, so hopefully I'll make up my mind. It is nice to have when I do use it, but I picked up an EZ Smart system last year, so wide crosscuts are no longer an issue.
