    That is excellent! I just checked out the specs for that drill in Makita's page and on paper it looks fantastic. Roughly the weight and size of a 9.6v drill with 18v power! It has a claimed recharge speed of 15 minutes. I might consider this for woodworking and small projects.

      i got to play with one of these at the new home depot yesterday. it is very light and well balanced and feels like it has the same power as the 18volt lxt hammer drill that was sitting next to it. very nice.

        I've got to admit. I passed by the HD hoping to see one of these but they don't have them yet. I think its a matter of availability at this point before I buy it. I've been looking around for a compact 12v or so drill for a while to complement my larger 18v but I think this unit has answered all of my wishes (except for the price).
