A question about the R2600 5" ROS. I used mine for a day and noticed that the speed of the sander seems to have increased when the pad is not in contact with the piece that I am sanding. When I push the sander to the wood, it seems to slow down to a normal working speed. When I first turned the unit on out of the box and watched the disk spin, I could see the hole patern on the bottom of the sander. Now, it speeds up so fast, that the holes are just a blur. Is it supposed to always spin so fast when it is not being pressed to the wood? A fellow woodworker told me that it might be a missing belt inside of the unit causing it to spin so fast. Any help will be appreciated.
