I am making some ZCI out of baltic burch and I would like to know if I need thread inserts for the (4) leveling screws on each corner ,not sure really how to do it, the insert is just about finished with the excepting of the screw holes, any help you guys could give me would be well appreciated, thanks

I shimmed mine with duct tape and the thin cellophane packing tape on the bottom at the front and back. Simple and works. The "1/2" baltic birch is probably 15/32" and will be about 1/32 low. (If you have the TS3650. Other saws may have different depths for the insert)

What I do is start with a piece of 3/4" hardwood, shape it to size and then thickness plan to the perfect thickness.

Hint, when making the kerf cut: for TK blade use a TK 7 1/2"CS blade and run it all the way up. For a full kerf blade use a outside dado blade (1/4") and run it all the way up. Otherwise you will have clearance issues with the 10" blade.
