  • Dovetail Jig

I recently purchased a 12" Porter Cable Jig and have been making boxes with Through Dovetails joints. To make sure that the top and bot. of both the pin and tail pieces line up it is important to center your pieces under the templates. Has anyone figured out a good way to do so other than eyeballing it, which never seems to work right for me? Thanks

You need to check your eyeballs. Seriously, eyeballing should be fine, if it looks right when you eyeball it,it should look fine when you make it. If you want to you can measure to center the piece, it shouldn't take more that a minute.
