For $12.99, that's a good deal.

Is the insert opening of the same dimensions on a 3650 as a 2424?

That is a pretty good deal for a ZCI.

As ZCI's go it's a very good price but I agree with Andrew, make your own.

Did you mean "is it not worth the time" or "it is not worth the time". I think Dave read it one way and I read it the other.

it isn't actually $13, you have to add $5.95 for shipping, so it is not worth it if you only need one, because thats $19, you could make 10 for that price including labour, with that said I am getting 2!

I ask that question when the 3650 cameout. The answer I got was they were not the same size. I wish they were.

I think that I would buy 2 and get and order for at least $25 and then the shipping is free.
If the plastic is flat, then I do not think that it is worth the time to make them youself at that price. You have to buy the set screws and a rear clip to mount it correctly.

UPDATE this item does not have free shipping, I may order them direct.

Andy B. Thanks for the lead to Amazon and the Zero clearance inserts. I have been looking for them ever since I bought my 3650 last year. I ordered 4 (for different blades). Would rather make furniture than inserts...thanks again...okiepoorboy

I just received the 2 of them I ordered. They are made of UHMW polypropylene. fit perfectly and seems very ridgid (no pun intended) They have used a 1/8" split pin inserted in a hole in the end of the insert for the back hold down. I give a thumbs up and will purchase more of them as needed.
