• RS1000 Radial saw, design flaw?

Not sure if this has been brought up before or if it has been fixed since I got mine.

When making a 45 degree miter to the right the saw blade passes directly over the rear table mounting screw. If the depth is set to low the saw blade will catch the screw. At least this is how it is on my saw, Not sure if its a design flaw? or a mistake by me putting the thing togather?

Any input would be much appreciated

    Thanks,

If it cant be cut, shaped, sanded or finished I dont wanna hear about it.

I have 1/2" sacrificial material on all top surfaces of my RAS with the fasteners along the outer edges out of the area where the blade could hit them.
