  • Some pictures

    I built this kneeler for a gentleman that is being ordained as a deacon in our church this summer. I used some old walnut that I bought a few years ago - The main reason that I bought my Rigid 13" planer . I finished it with 3 coats of hand rubbed tung oil. The cross-brace is cut from a piece that had sap-wood and heart-wood. Let me know what you think.

          That's beautiful, Girdham!! I also think your cross in the cross-piece is very well done.
          I put it all back together better than before. There\'s lots of leftover parts.

                That is one of the best uses of sapwood that I've seen. Most try to exclude it but you have used it expertly.
