  • Router Extension for the TS2424

I've noticed some individuals discussing router extension tables mainly the Benchdog. Has anyone used other brand router extension tables like Rockler, MLCS, etc., without making any adjustments of adding holes or other problems that may have occurred. And are you using cast iron or laminate?

Re: Router Extension for the TS2424

I have the Bench Dog ProMax. Just judging from the picture of the MLCS cast iron router extension table, it seems to be exactly the same as the ProMax, version 1.

Version 1 had only one set of channels for the router fence to slide and adjust in. Version 2 has two sets, so you can reverse the router fence and use the main portion of your table saw as the support area.

    MLCS version:

    ProMax V1:

ProMax V2 (just the top, not the cabinet):

I can't comment on other router extensions, but I can attest that I love the ProMax... but get the aluminum insert plate. ;-)
