  • Herculift assembly

Just got my 2424, and am excited to get busy. A question on Herculift assembly...the instructions are vague as to whether to tighten the bolts on the tubes that attach to the leg brackets. The instructions say to tighten them until the lock nut is flush with the bottom of the bolt, but never specifically state whether those should be tightened down. Instead, the instructions say to tighten all hardward on the upper and lower assemblies. Can anyone clarify? Thanks!

    Chris,

You want to keep the attachment to the tubes loose. This give the wheel assembly the play needed to engage the lift.

Keith...thanks for the response. I ended up realizing that I could call the 1-800 number and ask for help. Jake called me back right away. I'm amazed by the service and feeling great about my purchase. Finally fired up the saw tonight, reinforcing that I made a good choice. A little vibration, so I'll check the belt alignment again, but things are good. Thanks again!
