It's very easy. Mine was broken when I bought mine last spring. Ridgid sent me a new one and I replaced it. I don't remember the exact procedure but you can see how it goes together in the parts book. It's easy, I'm sure you won't have any trouble.

It's very easy to replace. First, you can get a new locking lever from Gardner (just follow the parts links on the Ridgid site or click this: http://www.ridgidparts.com/ )

If not under warranty, the part is about $4 + $8 shipping. Then, remove the plastic cap on the far end of the fence. Disassemble the fence locking rod assembly by removing the nut at the far end. Then back the rod out of the fence (with the broken handle). Be sure to hold on to the locking lever bearings... Remove the old lever from the rod and install the new one. Replace the locking rod assembly in the fence.

      10 minutes, tops.

      Take care,

      Steve
