  • Column accessories for new Drill Press...

    Jake,

Is it possible to order the column tray for the Drill Press as an accessory? I would like one for my drill press.

    Thanks,
    Michael

    Michael,

While its not available as an accessory, you could order it from parts easily enough. Just you to www.ridgidparts.com and look up the DP1550. You should be able to find the tool tray there.

The tool try is a dandy item. When drilling procedures occur, I find myself using several bits and changing them as I go through it. The try easily hold the bits I use, and puts them right in front of me when I need them. When done for the night, I put the bits back in the tool box for safe keeping. The try holds the chuck key more than anything else.
I would suggest the try to anyone with a drill press that it will fit on.
Just don't over tighten the screws, the plastic will crack rather easy. And leaving it a bit loose, just tight enough not to flop up and down, will let is pivot around the tube, making it even more valuable.
Nice job Emerson, thumbs up on this one!
