  • Garden Shed ( progress pics )

Hi everyone , Here are a few progress pics of my garden shed i am working on.
    It is 12' x 10' x 14' high and has 12 hips , 8 valleys and 15 windows.

I had a few skids of 1/2" x 6" plywood kicking around so i used it for the exterior and then i will use 4x8 sheets of Chalet board( wood siding ) to dress it up and then trim everything with 1" rough pine.

I can only echo what OSC has already said, and put quite well! Stunning work!
I put it all back together better than before. There\'s lots of leftover parts.

          Very cool John

I could really see a market for upscale sheds, pool houses etc. that match the owners house... Is that one yours? or is it for somebody else?

Thank you everyone for all the very nice comments.

I built one similar to this but half the size , it was a playhouse for a friend and his kids.
I built this one for my yard and it will look a lot like the playhouse but much bigger.

            thanks again

              John,

You should be shot or hung!

I showed your pix to my wife and she said "now that's a SHED! And you're calling that thing you're working on out there a garden shed? Why don't you build one like that?"

Seriously, that thing is beautiful. You set a high mark for us mortals to try to live up to. Keep up the good work. I thought the ultimate bird house was the epitome of woodworking but this is something else.

Thank you Bill and Garager for the very nice comments.

I have a bad habit of making a lot of extra work for myself.

I made the same mistake as Blind Bill and received the same reaction...

Beautiful work John, are you offering any internships any time soon?!

Just showed LOML your shed and some of your B-houses. Now she wants a bird house for the back yard. I owe you one. I think I've just scored a new jointer out of the deal! You rock!

I could use a few more new tools too , a 24" planer would be nice.

Excellent work. That is a great talent you have there. Every time I mess with wood it splits, breaks off or looks crooked as hell.

I can only imagine the amount of satisfaction you get out of your profession.

Have you tried to do a show on tv like cable or try for spots on other shows?

                            Thank you DUNBAR
I do get a lot of satifaction from what i do but it never seems to be enough.lol
Luckily for me i rarely ever have any problems when it comes to working with wood.
It just seems to flow like cold beer on a hot day.

HGTV was going to do a story on me but they said i was out of range for them.

I have had several articles done this year all across Canada and have been reconized as an artist in the province of Ontario but i haven,t seen any television shows that promote individiual woodworkers. It sure would be nice.
