  • shop vac to TS dust collector

I'm using my WD1635 wet/dry vac connected to my TS3612 with the Ridgid dust collection accessory. Sure is a lot of hose. Is there an accessory that will let me hook the hose from the TS dust collector directly to the Tug-a-Long port on the vac? I thought I had seen this accessory on the web site but maybe I am dreaming. Ummmm ... maybe I could just attach the vac hose to the TS collector assembly ... haven't tried that. At any rate, it would be nice to have a Tug-a-Long to regular adapter to place on the vac. (I'm not knocking the Tug-a-Long, love it for general vac cleanup tasks.)

I got to thinking that if I disconnected the stock hose from the dust collector that the Ridgid shop vac should fit the fitting....it does...no need for anything extra, just remove the new hose and plug the one from your vac right in (be sure to remove the adapter as well)...problem solved.

PS...it fits on the 2400 as well...no adapter necessary.

Keystone - Thanks for the reminder, I'll dig through my catalogs when I get a chance.

Kelly - I did the same thing today. That idea dawned on me last night as I was writing my original post. The setup works fine in my garage but man that vac is loud! Are you using any kind of remote switch with yours or are you doing the same as me ... walk over and turn it on/off?

Mine's underneath the right side extension wing, so I just turn it on from the sawing position, but I'm going to get a couple of those switches so that when the saw is turned on, it'll come on automatically....not sure where to get them yet, but I'm sure Woodcraft or Rockler has 'em. I;'m also going to check HD today.

              Kelly,

Let me know where you get those switches. I'm interested in them also.

Will do Michael...just realized though that I might only be able to get one....my TS has been converted to 220...not sure they make one that'll be compatible.
