  • Canadian lumber yards ?

    Hi All
Just want to ask the Canadian woodworkers if you know for any good lumber yards or outlets in the North York/Toronto area of Ontario, I'm looking to buy good maple, cherry, walnut and oak, and I only need to buy a few board feet at a time for my weekend projects.

    Thanks for reading this...Grayskin...

Here is one of my favorite places to get my lumber its located in Oshawa, but it might be worth the drive

another one of my favourite lumber places is located in Stouffville

these places arent in your immediate area but still fairly close

      Hopefully this helps

        You could try Oliver lumber.

They're based in Etobicoke and at one point in time they used to supply many of the local school board's (before the government's forced amalgamation into a mega board) workshops.

If you're looking for rough lumber go to Oliver Lumber This company has been in business for ever and they have a warehouse the size of 2 football fields. They don't mind selling to individuals who want only a few board feet of lumber. I use them all the time for walnut, maple, yellow pine and they even have a product called wormy maple that makes extremely strong frames for furniture. They are located at the 427 and QEW junction just off West Mall.
