  • Wilton Universal Vise

    Does anyone have any experience or thoughts on the following Wilton 5" Universal Vise from THD and Lowes?

    I realize the vise is not the typical Wilton industrial grade, but it will only be used for my workshop. I do have a wood vise, so this would be used as a supplemental vise. I have not used a vise that has the barrel type for rotating the vise, but it looks like a nice feature and it has a pipe jaw. Seems more versatile than your standard vise. I also looked at some of the Sears models, but I read some reviews where the jaws don't line up on the cheaper models. Also, would I gain much by going to a 6" model?

    NO experience with the brand, but it's a nice vice. 1" difference, it's entirely up to you. Price looks good.

    I'd like to upgrade mine, which doesn't swivel 270 deg.

      i have 3 of the 6" vises(2 on one bench and 1 on a roll cart) i think they are a heck of a deal for the money, i use them quite abit with a truck i am redoing, for the fab work.

        I have a 6" Wilton that was my grandfathers. If it's the same Wilton, it should be a good tool.
